Deutschland 83 and Deutschland 86. If you’re suffering from Americans withdrawal, I have your solution
. The look is bang on,
the car casting is awesome and it’s as addictive as the Americans. It’s on Sundance in the US, and Amazon Prime in Europe.

ooh I’m intrigued. The Americans is still probably the best show I’ve ever watched, but I generally l ove anything set in this time period

Thanks, I’ve checked Sundance for another season of this a few times.

I really like the Americans, but I think the shorter seasons of European shows give it a faster pace. You’ll definitely like the show.

Haven’t checked, I know the new season is on Amazon Prime in Germany, so it might have moved there in the UK
. The Channel 4 trailer was the best one I could find on Youtube without searching too hard...

‘86 is running on Sundance currently. I wanted to DVR it, but forgot to set the DVR despite the ads. I did happen to catch it the other night while laying in bed, but wasn’t conscious enough to be able to follow the subtitles, so I’ve yet to watch more than a minute of an episode.

Don’t have Sundance anymore. Would you mind reporting back since nobody else has? ‘83 had a good start before dwelling too much on the runaway hippie starlet. There are doubts it picked up in excellent form.

I’d never even heard of the series until I started seeing the Sundance trailers for ‘86. Based on recommendations in this thread, I’ll probably try to catch up on some of them. Guess I should probably watch ‘83 first.
